Cities and the Built Environment

Cities concentrate exposure: people, buildings and networks share the same streets, codes and service footprints, and urban growth decides tomorrow's losses today. This subsite relates urban risk, construction, real-estate and urban-agenda instruments so that a building, a district and a city plan can carry one consistent record. Every artifact of these areas carries a UNI (Unique Nexus Identifier), which identifies and never certifies.

05Live feeds

13 sources named by the areas, every one honest about admission.

Provider, licence, delivery path and register status for each source. A source is live on a public page only after an owner decision admits it; until then it reads pending admission.

Every feed · pending admission

No legal register row admits any of these sources for live display on public pages yet, so nothing is read from them here. A register row that exists records the source for the governed GRIx path; admission for public pages is a separate owner decision.

07Readiness

What GCRI Canada and the two institutions read here.

GCRI Canada evidence pathway

GCRI Canada

Cities and urban systems risk standards · GCRI Canada may admit urban exposure records that state footprint source, date and completeness as research evidence; GCRI Canada decides under its own evidence and research rules, and no approval is implied.

Cities and the built environment · Exposure and loss records with boundary versions and licences become readable as evidence for GCRI Canada urban risk research, which applies its own rules.

Construction and real estate · Building exposure and retrofit records with provenance become readable as evidence for GCRI Canada exposure research under its own rules.

Recognition pathway

The Global Risks Forum (GRF)

Cities and urban systems risk standards · GRF may record municipalities that adopt the urban records in local DRR strategies as a recognition dialogue; GRF decides under its own recognition rules, and no recognition or endorsement is implied.

Cities and the built environment · A city that publishes its local strategy clauses and scorecard attestations gives GRF a record trail to consider; no recognition is implied.

Construction and real estate · A developer or owner that publishes building resilience clauses and attestations gives GRF a record trail to consider; nothing is recognised by adoption.

2 more areas state what this pathway reads; each area page has its own line.

Capital pathway

The Global Risks Alliance (GRA)

Cities and urban systems risk standards · GRA may read urban exposure and service-network records when it considers municipal resilience finance; GRA decides under its own capital-readiness rules, and no approval, rating or investment view is implied.

Cities and the built environment · Urban resilience projects can present verified exposure and service-continuity baselines to GRA for capital-readiness assessment under its own rules.

Construction and real estate · Retrofit and resilient-building investments can present verified exposure and vulnerability records to GRA for capital-readiness assessment.

  1. 01

    Charter a working group

Pick an area above, adopt its proposed charter and file it as a docket under NS-13; editors decide with written reasons. Develop a standard

  2. 02

Correct or extend an area brief

Every area entry is PROPOSED: a pull request against the area context bank names the change and its source, peer-reviewed or published statistics.

  3. 03

    Name a source

Propose a feed with provider, licence and delivery path; Legal/IP records the terms and the owner decides admission. Agents never admit a source.

  4. 04

    Take part at the body

Contribute to an external standard through its own body's channels; the outcome comes back here as a register change. Movement and contribution

13Questions

Questions and answers.

Is Cities and the Built Environment a live subsite?
The owner created it in WordPress; its pages publish as drafts once the owner gives the go. The name is owner-confirmed.
Where do the areas come from?
From the area context bank, one PROPOSED entry per area written as an expert would brief a working group, sourced to published statistics and peer-reviewed references; the Nexus Standards lane owns the canonical registry.
Are any feeds live here?
No. Every feed reads pending admission until an owner decision admits it for public pages.
