Where AI is used.
- 1.1 The pages of the Site contain no chatbot, assistant or other AI system that interacts with visitors. Where a connected service has such a feature, that service states so where the feature is used.
- 1.2 AI tools may be used to help prepare text, translations, code and figures for the Site. Everything published is published under the editorial responsibility of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI Canada); the people who write and edit it remain responsible for it, and every number, citation and status label is checked against its source.
- 1.3 Models, instruments and digital twins on the Site are deterministic programs that run published methods on cited data. They are not AI systems unless a page says so and names the model.
- 1.4 An edition states where AI assistance was used. No AI system is recorded as an author or a reviewer.
Rules for any AI feature.
- 2.1 Disclosure. A visitor is told, before and while interacting with it, that an AI system is responding, unless that is obvious from the context. AI-generated or AI-altered text, images, audio and video are labelled, and are marked in a machine-readable form where the law requires it.
- 2.2 No automated decisions. No AI system decides or scores a finding, an assessment result, a completion record or access to anything, and none profiles visitors.
- 2.3 Your data. Messages, contributions and other personal information sent to the Site are not used to train or improve any AI model, and are not sent to a third-party AI service, without your separate, informed consent, which can be withdrawn.
- 2.4 Accuracy and limits. AI output can be wrong. An AI feature shows its limits next to its output and cites its sources where it can; its output is not a forecast, a warning, an assessment or professional advice.
- 2.5 Before launch. An AI feature is switched on only after this Statement describes it and its risks have been assessed under the laws that apply, including Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
Questions and corrections.
- 3.1 Questions about the use of AI go to contact@therisk.global. An error in AI-assisted material is reported and corrected in the same way as any other error, through contact@therisk.global.
- 3.2 See also the Disclaimers and Data Notices.

Status and use. The Nexus Standards are proposed standards developed through an open process under NS-13 and published for voluntary use; they do not constitute certification, accreditation or regulatory approval, and adoption remains a decision of the Global Standards Council and, in each country, of its National Standards Council. A UNI (Unique Nexus Identifier) identifies an artifact; it does not certify it. Names of standards bodies and their standards belong to their stewards and are used only to identify the documents; no text of an external standard is reproduced here. Nexus Standards is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by any standards body named here.
