Editorial principles.
| Principle | In practice |
|---|---|
| Independence | No sponsor, funder or provider edits a finding |
| Evidence | Every number is sourced or labelled with its status |
| Neutrality | No political endorsement and no judgement of public figures |
| Proportion | Depth follows evidence; gaps are stated, not filled |
| Privacy and safety | No personal data and no sensitive infrastructure detail |
| Correction | Errors become published notices and a new version |
Positions every edition inherits.
| Position | What it means |
|---|---|
| P1 · Risk is systemic | Shocks travel through couplings; national totals hide where they land |
| P2 · No league tables | Subjects are read against peers and thresholds |
| P3 · Status always | Every claim carries its state, time and source |
| P4 · Readiness is not authority | Publication confers no mandate |
| P5 · Capability is evidenced | A capability listed is not a capability tested |
| P6 · Scenarios are conditional | Never predictions |
| P7 · Technology is physical | Compute, energy, water and materials come with it |
| P8 · Correction is a feature | Every change is recorded |
Disclosed, never an author.
AI assistance may be used for drafting, consistency checks and page composition. Every number, citation and status label is checked against its source by the editorial team. No AI system is recorded as an author or a reviewer.
What an edition is not.
Not a government assessment, an official warning, a rating, a certification, investment advice, an underwriting decision, a procurement recommendation or an operational authorisation. Competent authorities keep every mandate they hold.
Contribute evidence from this page.
Reports is the Consortium’s quarterly publication. What you know about this subject can become evidence, a case or a correction in the next edition, credited to you and published under CC BY 4.0 where it is your own work.
- EmailGateway GW-STDSend it from this pageEvidence, a correction, a case, a method, a review, a translation or profile input. It arrives tagged with this page, so the editor who owns it receives it.
- ZenodoOpen depositDeposit it and submit to the communityPublish your own record on Zenodo with your ORCID iD, then submit it to the Reports community there. Curators review it; the DOI stays yours.
- ReportsNexus StandardsSee every way to contributeThe contribution types, how each is reviewed, what credit you receive, the licence and what is never accepted.
Never send personal data, sensitive infrastructure detail or anything you have no right to share. A contribution is reviewed before use; sending it confers no authorship or editorial rights, and sponsorship never buys a finding.

Bring what you know to the next edition.
Every quarter closes on a sealed evidence cut. Contributions received before the cut are reviewed for that edition; later ones wait for the next.
